I am originally from London, England, having moved to New Zealand at 12 years old. I grew up on the North Shore and now love living on the Hibiscus Coast with my two rescue cats.

I have been teaching for over 25 years, with experience in the Middle School, Years 7-10.  I am currently teaching in the Year 7 department at Orewa College. My favourite subjects are English and Social Studies.

My passion is reaching students who are reluctant learners, struggle with learning, or doubt their own ability. I enjoy scaffolding activities to help students achieve success and watch their confidence and independence grow.  Supporting each other as staff and supporting our tamariki is of super importance to me.  This is why I am enjoying the mahi of the Hauora/Wellbeing team.

Quote:  “Every child can learn. Just not on the same day or in the same way”.  George Evans (not related that I know).
