Across School Leader
I grew up on the coast and it only seemed natural to return and teach somewhere I loved as a child. Having wonderful memories of the beach, the kaiako and the people.
I have worked as a kaiako at Silverdale Kura since 2015, ranging from Y2 to Y4. I am incredibly passionate about engaging ākonga in learning and finding new and challenging ways to engage them in learning. I have had much success in using digital technologies to engage ākonga in learning and to support learning needs.
For the last 3 years my focus has been about engaging with kaiako and finding new ways to integrate digital technology into classrooms in order to offer a fun and engaging learning experiences for our ākonga. Kāhui Ako ki Orewa has given me the opportunity to engage with kaiako across kura and our community. I have seen amazing ideas, teaching and learning and am actively working to share these across our Kāhui Ako community.
