Message from Steve – Prepare for math joy and rich math talk in your classroom as your students work with many concepts, estimation, and a sense of mystery!
May your classroom be filled with math joy and rich math talk all year long. As always, I’ll let everyone who is subscribed to my email list know when new resources are posted.
Notes for using Esti-mysteries
Junior
- When you open the PowerPoint (or Google Slides) file you will see several slides. That’s because there are 3 choices with each Esti-Mystery.
- No Chart Version – Start on Slide 2
- A Version with a Chart to Write On – Start on Slide 8
- An Animated Chart – Start on Slide 14. (This is the version I use.)
- Then be sure to play the slide show.
- In PowerPoint: After you click on the slide you want to start on, click: Slide Show, then click: From Current Slide.
- In Google Slides: After you click on the slide you want to start on, click PRESENT
